I went to Central America, went to the beach and a river and wore lots of sunblock BUT still got a tan both times. I have 2 sets of strap tans and the second time, I wore capris so didn’t get all my legs tanned. I’m very uneven… What can I use to start fading away my tan, rather then wait for winter?
Thanks in advance for all your advice.
lots of exfoliation. since its your body, you can use something harsh like St Ives Apricot Scrub. i would say do it once a day, but make sure you apply lotion afterwards so you dont harm your skin. because this is a natural tan, its going to be a long time until it fades, but hopefully this shall sped the process up. this is what i did when i used sunless tanning lotion and it worked like a charm. good luck =]

hello =) my fiance and i are going to be spending quite a bit of time in Lima beginning in February. We are going to be there for six months. well i know peru isn’t exactly famous for its beaches, and we normally dont even go to the beaches here in the US, but still im curious, where are the best beach resorts in south america, preferably either in peru or in a neighboring country? i hear colombia has nice beaches? also, which do you think would be the safest for foreigners? thanks =)
You have to go to Ecuador!! I’ve been to Ecuador many times and while I love so many things about the country, my favorite thing is definitely its amazing beaches. You could literally drive up the coast and stop at whatever beach suits your fancy. Some of my favorite beaches there are:
Bahia
Isla de la Corazon — really small island that is so calm and peaceful
Atacames
Galapagos — if you have enough time, I would totally recommend it. Not only are the beaches probably the most exquisite that I have ever seen, but there is also so much else to see!
Manta — not so much a relaxing beach town like the others, this is the 3rd largest city in Ecuador and offers lots of attractions, good restaurants, and things to do. You can’t really go to the beach because it’s not very safe, but you can get a hotel with an ocean view for pretty cheap.
Everyone I talked to said Esmeraldas was so beautiful, so I went but was greatly disappointed. It’s a huge and very dangerous city and the beach was nothing special.
I went on a roadtrip along the coast and felt extremely safe. The people were very friendly and the drive was absolutely breathtaking. If you have enough time, I highly recommend going to Ecuador!
Hope that helped and enjoy your trip!

what are they like?
Probably. Best way is to check the website of the International Naturist Association. They have a section called "Where to get Naked" and they list the nude beaches, etc. by geographic location.
You could also simply type in "Nude Beaches" in your browser and get lots of information.
I’ve never been to the caribbean but I absolutely love the nude beach…I go to one here on Long Island many times during the summer, and it’s absolutely awesome.
Nude beaches rule!

One of the most spectacular island groups in the entire Caribbean region are the Cayman Islands, a cluster of three sun swept islands situated northwest of Jamaica and due south of Cuba. Under the long term, but hands off political control of the British, the Cayman Islands successfully mixes Caribbean flair with English distinction to create a community that far outstrips its neighbors in wealth, pleasure, and prestige. Small wonder why this enchanted British territory is one of the most popular wedding destinations for couples from North America as well from the United Kingdom. You can plan to have your wedding event in the Cayman Islands too; please read on how you can make your paradise dreams become a reality.
Imagine that you and your espoused are getting married in a tropical paradise with all of your invited guests in attendance. Imagine that you have the choice of marrying on sandy white beaches, on the exquisitely manicured lawn of a private country club, or inside of a stately church or charming chapel. Yes, the Cayman Islands have it all and your choices in venue are only limited by your imagination.
What makes this island destination an exceedingly popular wedding venue is that it has so much to offer to everyone. Your guests will be happy to spend their time in the Cayman Islands where scuba diving is unmatched, enjoy a stroll along the famed Seven Mile Beach, take in a round of golf, involve yourself in shopping, or even do a little bit of business as The Cayman Islands is an important international finance center. No matter, your guests will be happy to wrap your wedding event around everything else they can during their stay at this island paradise.
Many couples choose to wed during the winter months as temperatures are typically in the mid seventies with no threat of hurricanes possible. Yes, the island cluster was hammered by Hurricane Ivan during 2004, but a concerted effort on the part of the government, businesses, and its citizens has meant a spectacular and rapid recovery. Naturally, if you are planning a wedding during the July to November timeframe, you will want to take note of this possibility.
Important events held in the Cayman Islands include Pirates Week which is actually a ten day festival closing out the month of October. A parade through George Town, the capital, along with street dances, music, food festivals, and sporting events help to make Pirates Week one of the most popular times for tourists to visit The Cayman Islands, therefore booking your wedding event well in advance of the festival will ensure that you are not disappointed.
In early May the Batabano Carnival is held, an event featuring hundreds of parading masked participants dressed in colorful regalia rivaling anything you have seen in Rio or in New Orleans for that matter. Batabano is also a popular time to hold a Cayman Island wedding with couples arranging their weddings to occur as close to the event as possible.
Summers are very warm in the Cayman Islands with daytime temperatures regularly approaching ninety degrees, but tempered by dependable trade winds. Many couples who desire a summer beach wedding choose to exchange vows just before sunset as the day’s heat retreats. With the sound of the surf accompanied by a stunning sunset, a beach wedding followed by a reception at the Hyatt Regency Resort Grand Cayman, Windham Sunshine Suites, Marriott Grand Cayman Beach Resort, or other top quality hotel is one way to celebrate what is certain to be a memorable event for the happy couple and their guests.

Wedding is perhaps the most important event in one’s life. Everyone loves to make his or her wedding a special and unique event. For those looking for an exotic as well as a romantic way to replenish your lifetime commitment, one of the best options would be to get married at Tahiti – the largest and the most attractive tropical island of French Polynesia.
Located in the Eastern South Pacific within a tranquil setting, blessed with deserted islands, unbelievable blue water, alluring as well as multi-colored coral reefs, and lush and diverse vegetation, Tahiti is regarded as the most romantic place on the planet, and serves as a perfect destination for an exotic wedding, apart from renewal of vows and honeymoons.
It is no wonder why Tahiti is sometimes referred to as the ‘Island of Love.’ Inspired by the amazing beauty and the fabulous options it renders, many foreigners, especially Americans and Japanese, flock here for a wonderful wedding experience.
Tahiti boasts of a wonderful weather throughout the year, thereby enabling couples to get married at any time of a year. No matter you would like to get married on the soft, spectacular sandy beaches or in the churches found across the island, choices for weddings in Tahiti are truly exotic.
Weddings in Tahiti may be in the form of a simple ring exchange whose procedures are done by a local priest or sometimes it may be a lavish ceremony accompanied by traditional Tahitian practices, music, and dancing. According to the Tahiti culture, the wedding is a consecrated bond blessed by the Gods, and hence treated in a royal way.
If the couples prefer to get married in traditional Tahitian style, the bride-to-be is treated like an ancient Tahitian princess. Then, she is indulged by the villagers on the area with fragrant flowers as well as aromatic oils. Later, she is dressed in a vibrantly colored pareu with flower garlands and seashells. Meanwhile, the groom is taken by the villagers to a small islet, where he is painted with tattoos and dressed in a traditional style wearing a crown decorated with tropical leaves and flowers. He then takes after a village High Chief. The groom is carried to the wedding place in a canoe amid great pomp and splendor.
After sometimes, the bride is brought to the venue carried in a traditional throne. Then, the marriage ceremony takes place at the Tahitian Stone, and the High Priest conducts marriage rituals and rites. Eventually, the couples are seated on a royal chair, and are then carried by the Maohi warriors into the sunset. Above all, the ceremony is serenaded by soft as well as elegant Tahitian music.
However, for those interested in getting married in Tahiti are required to meet certain legal requirements. Hence, it is required to submit some legal papers prior to the wedding, such as, birth certificates of bride and groom that have been translated into French, premarital certificates, residency certificate, customary certificate, celibacy certificate, and a copy of the notarized marriage contract, in case bride or groom is a foreign born people. But, in most cases, it is seen that many of the couples officially get married at their home countries and then tour Tahiti for enjoying an exotic wedding.
Nowadays, many of the top-notch hotels in the area, such as, Accor, provide excellent options for exotic weddings in Tahiti. Many of them even provide world-class wedding packages, replete with assistance of wedding planner, traditional Tahitian wedding ceremony, sunset cruise, and a romantic dinner. In some instances, wedding packages come attached with underwater wedding ceremony, scuba training as well as ride on the lagoon, dresses for bride and groom, a bottle of champagne, DVD as well as photographs of the ceremony, and waterproof wedding certificate.
There are also wedding packages that are complete with service of a local priest, small group of musicians and dancers, traditional costumes, flower garlands and crowns, decoration of ceremony ground and canoes, coco punches, and a bottle of champagne on ice. Apart from these, luxury wedding packages are available inclusive of royal wedding ceremony, royal procession of newly weds through the village, and honeymoon night with royal treatment.
In addition to hotels and resorts, many tour operators, professional planners, and cruise lines are also in the scenario to render services in order to make your Tahitian wedding truly a memorable event.

From the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic seaboard, travel to Florida is the ultimate adventure and getaway for spring breakers, singles, couples, and the entire family alike. The Sunshine State is packed with amusement park extravaganzas, wildlife sanctuaries, pristine beaches, and cruise ship island escapades. Don’t miss your chance to escape to one of the most dynamic vacation destinations in the USA.
Florida is also rife with pertinent heritage before becoming the 27th state of the Union. Florida’s history dates back thousands of years, prior to any European settlements in the region. By the time the first European explorer landed in Florida, the Native American population was thriving, including the Seminole and Apalachee tribes. The region changed hands from Spain to Britain, back to Spain then finally to the United States in 1845. Several war-torn forts and battlefields from the Civil War era and earlier can be found throughout the peninsula and panhandle, including Dade Battlefield Historic State Park in the Southwest District and Castillo de San Marcos (Fort Marion), a National Monument.
Disney, Deco, and Diving in Florida
Once you find your airfare to Florida, you’ll be ready to explore the extensive amusements the state has to offer. Disney World, near Orlando, is one of the most popular destinations and is a short drive away from Canaveral National Seashore, home of the Kennedy Space Center and periodic shuttle launches. On the Atlantic shore, Miami boasts hundreds of historic Art-Deco buildings and hotels along the famous avenues of South Beach. Just north of Miami, Fort Lauderdale is the place to catch a cruise or flight into the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and the Florida Keys.
Popular leisure activities in Florida include SCUBA diving, snorkeling, yachting, horseback riding and exploring the National Parks. Everglades National Park is a stunning 1.5 million acre expanse of green wetlands, hundreds of endangered or rare species like the American crocodile and the Florida Panther, bird and flamingo sanctuaries, and numerous boat and land tours.
Dry Tortugas National Park is also a must see, made up of a cluster of islands west of the Florida Keys in the Gulf of Mexico. The park is teeming with exotic wildlife, both above and below water, and fantastic legends of pirates, gold and a history of military development. Grab your oxygen tank and your airfare to Florida for some of the most spectacular underwater photography opportunities the world has to offer.
The Finer Side of Florida
Many travelers make their pilgrimage to Florida to experience fine seaside dining in the major cities like Miami and luxury communities like Jupiter Island. Hotels and full-service resorts are generously scattered throughout the coastal regions, Orlando and the Keys, and bayside mansions attracts their own class of renters and sightseers alike.

The Caribbean has been for eons a preferred vacation spot of tourists from the world over. In fact, millions of people visit the islands from the United States alone. The allure & charisma of the Caribbean lies not just on its stunning beaches and quixotic sunsets – it also has a prosperous account of olden times and a multihued culture that truly makes it addictive.
Barbados is considered to be one of the paramount tourist spots in the whole world. Being the Caribbean’s most populace and bustling island Barbados is at all times teeming with the tourists round the year. It is said that Barbados’s fascinating exquisiteness and fabulous weather sets the tenor of your mood. For years Barbados’s soothing weather has been attracting tourists round the globe irrespective of the season whether it is summers or winters. Herein one will find sun-bathed seas round the calendar, which characteristically sets the tropical climate. Barbados weather is nearly warm round the year where you find high 20 degree Celsius in February whereas low 30′s in June.
June to November is the months where you will find the damp Barbados, as these are the probable rainy seasons. But rain seldom lasts for long here and Barbadians will let you know the exact days of the cloudy overcast here. Usually Barbados weather is placid and pleasant but the north of the island normally escapes from the tropical heat due to mild altitude changes. Barbados has got high percentage of humidity but it withered away from the cool Caribbean Sea breeze, which is all-pervading to endow with the much required let-up from the sweltering heat.
Regardless of being bound by seas all around hurricanes still misses this island, which provide you with docile seas to linger around. Hurricanes usually ascend in the African coast and head towards the Caribbean before dithering to the north almost 100 miles from Barbados. Daytime in Barbados is reasonably hot whereas night is somewhat cooler which sets the idyllic tone for the sensuous and perfect night. Rainfalls here are very revitalizing and are quickly followed with sun-drenched skies, which makes frequent occurrence of rainbow. Tropical rains are spectacular here but they are quickly sapped off in to the underground lakes due to the spongy island.
In short we can say that if Barbados’s fascinating splendor fails to be a magnet for you then its soothing weather makes you fall in love with this striking island.
So, pack your bags and head straight towards this beautiful island for that perfect vacation.
