Mexico’s ranking among the world’s countries in international tourism arrivals increased from eight to seven last month according to World Tourism Organization figures, Tourism Secretary Rodolfo Elizondo recently announced. Approximately 21.9 million international guests arrived to Mexico in 2005.
Tourism providers are rushing to meet the increasing demand for service. For example, there are currently 23 new flights to Mexico from the United States, and Canadians can count on an additional three flights to Mexico.
“More and more leisure and business travelers are discovering the many benefits of a Mexican vacation. Our country not only offers visitors beautiful beaches, an almost endless array of cultural destinations and many exciting adventure tourism options, but Mexico does it all while providing tourists with great value and gracious service,” said Elizondo.
Sectur reports that Mexico’s tourism industry was responsible for generating 1.9 million direct jobs in 2005, up 3 percent over 2004 numbers. With the tourism sector so favorably impacting the country and its people, Mexico invests considerable time and effort in developing it.
The Mexican government has a comprehensive, long-term tourism plan in place to guide its efforts through 2025. The plan’s goal is to consistently increase both the number of international visitors and the amount of tourism revenue.

There are any number of reasons to look for a Mexico travel package but only on reason that you need, the experience that you and your loved ones can share. With beautiful and romantic beaches a Mexico travel package can also be perfect for a quiet two person package as a romantic gift to the one that you love. Remember that if you have a guest or are not traveling alone you will want to try to accommodate the other person and if planning activities ahead you will want to remember to include activities that interest them. There are many different activities and destination in Mexico to chose from. There are beautiful beaches and wonderful nature oriented opportunities. Some people greatly enjoy being able to take a boat out or even ride a boat there and fish. There are also some well known cities sites that you can visit and enjoy with great food and many memorable sights and more.
When using a Mexico travel package not only is it easier to plan ahead but it is also easier for you to view your options and their prices. One tourist attraction which is also a cheap solution to family fun is a day at the beach, or even a few days. Children are able to play in the sand and make sand castles or swim while adults a teenagers are able to tan, surf, play volley ball or other beach activities. One suggestion that you will commonly be given when booking a Mexico travel package is to not forget your swimsuit because even if you are not planning on going in the water the dazzling beach and brilliant sunrise may just be too much for you to resist.

Mexico is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world with crystal clear water and 80 degree days almost everyday, and for most people living in the United States it’s just a short plane ride away to have the vacation of a lifetime. Mexico is known for its amazing Mexico timeshare rentals options where families or couples can rent out timeshares for a week or two at a time to enjoy their vacation. Many of these Mexico timeshare rentals have unbelievable deals for renters as well as hundreds of things to do around them to keep busy and doing a new thing every day if the wanted.
You can’t go to Mexico without going to the beach, the beaches there are some of the best in the world with bathtub like water and hundreds of different types of fish. Swimming or laying out at the beach is always a must during your vacation to Mexico, but if you are looking for something a little more active why not try snorkeling or scuba diving in the warm waters of the Caribbean. Both of these activities can be done by families with children over that age of eight, and for people who may be hesitant about the water there is almost always a training session in which beginners learn to scuba dive in a pool or in very shallow water before they go out into the deep ocean. This allows people to learn to appreciate the wildlife in Mexico as well as the beautiful reefs surrounding it. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that you shouldn’t pass up while staying at your Mexico timeshare rentals.
There are also many different types of tours depending on what you are interested in, there are tours of the jungle in which tourists can walk down small trails into the heart of the jungle and into underground caves where you can see different types of rock formations as well as the wildlife living in the caves. This is especially fun for parents with small children because they can learn about geology as well as the animals that live in Mexico. There are also many beautiful golf courses all over Mexico that overlook the ocean; you may forget how to play after seeing some of the beautiful sites that these courses have of beautiful Mexico.
For the dare devil type there are opportunities for people to go cliff diving off scenic cliffs all over Mexico, as well as opportunities to go sky diving or paragliding. If you have never done any of these before this is a great place to try considering the beautiful views that Mexico has to offer.

I would recommend going to the Riviera Maya wich includes Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Xcaret, Cozumel, and others.. There is so many places you can visit there. I recommend you staying in Playa del Carmen because it’s right in the middle of everything and it’s not quite as big as Cancun but it has enough entertainment. As far as accomodations go, since you’re going with family, it might even be cheaper to rent out a condo or suite. Check these websites out:

Three years ago, in early July, I moved to Florida in the peak of its hot season. Never having been to Florida before, except for airport layovers in Miami, being in the intense heat was surprising. I’m sure, if you cracked an egg on a sidewalk, it would’ve fried itself. Thank goodness for air conditioning. Once you get past the intensity of the heat in the summertime, you are initiated into this gorgeous state’s climate. Of course there are hurricanes, but after encountering eight of them myself and not having my property damaged, I am not as afraid of the smaller ones as I once was.
It just takes a little self-education on what to do during a hurricane, such as what supplies to buy in case your power goes out. It isn’t a bad idea to rent or buy your home out of the evacuation zones, either. These zones are listed in the front of Floridian phone books, along with the escape routes, should you be unfortunate enough to encounter a larger one. The truth of the matter is, if you live in Florida, you will most definitely witness multiple hurricanes. If a larger one comes through, I know now to take my pets and plan a vacation up north to see my family, as soon as I find out the hurricane is coming. If you wait too long, you will have no choice to be stuck in a very long line of highway traffic. And hotels book up quickly. So, if you don’t want to end up sleeping in your car in the Wal-Mart parking lot, it pays to stay put or leave early.
When I first moved down here, I thought I’d live in Tampa, a big city on the Gulf of Mexico side of the state. Being tropical in climate, the whole Tampa Bay area is gorgeous. Exotic birds like egrets, spoonbills, ibis and others walk and fly around everywhere. Among other birds, I’ve also seen ospreys, cormorants, and even a bald eagle once (on top of a telephone pole). Even in the city, nature is all around. I was in a drive-through at Burger King, and an egret (large, white stork-like bird) stood in front of my car as I picked up my food. I just waited him to slowly walk off. He was totally oblivious to the fact that he was holding up a line of traffic, as he walked around looking for lizards to eat.
The city of Tampa is full of wonderful places like Busch Gardens. Ibor City (an old cigar town turned into a hot spot for nightlife), Lowry Park Zoo, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Florida Aquarium, a large, well-stocked public aquarium, situated on the water. The historic Henry Plant Museum in downtown Tampa is a beautiful example of Victorian architecture. If you love to shop, the International Mall is the “in” place to be, with its large variety of upscale stores and restaurants. Tampa is most definitely worth visiting, but the apartments I wanted there were out of my price range, so I headed over to St.Petersburg.
The city of St.Petersburg is an artist’s dream, full of museums and art fairs. I especially like The Pier(full of shops on a pier that sticks out into the bay), and Sunken Gardens, with its old, well-tended plants and trees. I fell in love with it all, and found a gorgeous, large apartment in the old part of town, which has the most charm, with its old Art Deco buildings (my apartment building was one of them), coffeehouses and trendy shops.Being able to walk to Starbucks was a big perk for coffee-loving me. I was down the street from the water, and at the end of my street was a lovely lake, with all kinds of tropical wildlife freely living their lives, unafraid of humans. Outside my office window was a big starfruit tree, all I had to do was reach out the window and pick the fragrant, yellow fruits. In the grocery store up north, one starfruit easily could cost $5. I had fresh fruit and a mockingbird (the state bird of Florida) serenading me with his beautiful songs on a daily basis. Orange and grapefruit trees are common, and my friend would bring me a bucketful of the sweetest oranges off her tree, whenever she stopped over.
After getting a good job and having a better income, I decided to upgrade to a place closer to my work, in Largo. This cultural, park-filled city is next door to both St.Petersburg and another popular city, Clearwater. My new place is on a lush, secluded lake, and I feed many different large birds who come to visit me daily from my back balcony. Nature is all around, in the peaceful oasis I call home. And, less than a mile away is the Gulf of Mexico. Taxis are plentiful and cheap down here, so whenever I want to go to the beach, I take a taxi. My favorite beaches are the ones at Fort DeSoto and Clearwater Beach. There are some huge, stately old hotels down here worth visiting such as the Don Cesar (large, pink and totally luxurious. on the beach. Rumor has it that it is a favorite stop for Presidents) and the Renaissance Vinoy, which is situated waterfront in downtown St.Petersburg. It is like a dream to live in such a water-loving world down here. In the grocery stores, you can buy food, pharmacy products, along with bait, beach chairs and scuba gear. Up north, that never happens. Shopping is plentiful everywhere you go here, due to the large variety of stores of every type.
The climate in the Tampa Bay area is moderate and we have no frost. I brought my orchid plants with me from up north, and they are in plant heaven, blooming their heads off, in their ideal growing conditions out on my balcony. Plant shows down here are held outside, and vendors from everywhere come to sell their large variety of plants. Every time I go to one, my car bulges with plants, big and small, somehow I always find a place for each of them back at my place. If you want to see professional growers in action, visit Plant City, east of Tampa. They have a wonderful Strawberry Festival there every year that is definitely worth going to. This is a plant lover’s paradise.
Fishermen love it down here, because this area is a boater’s and fisherman’s dream. The fish in the Gulf of Mexico are gigantic. There are fishermens’ charters all over, and tour boats for those who don’t fish. Going to Sanibel Island is fun, if you love to pick up shells. Up and down the Gulf coast of Florida are many varied restaurants with some of the freshest seafood around. My favorite restaurants are located on the water, which is really atmospheric.
For anyone thinking of moving down to the Tampa Bay area, I advise you to come down here on vacation, and just drive around. Ask the locals where to eat, see the sights. You will surely love the climate, especially in the winter. If you want to avoid hurricanes, come between December and March. Hurricanes occur when the water is really warm. My favorite time of year are the winter months, because the heat and humidity lessen at those times. Still, it is a good idea not to bring heavy, northern, synthetic knit clothes down here, because they don’t breathe as well as natural fibers like cotton. Lightweight clothes are a must, in general, to be most comfortable.
Liviung in Florida is recommended if you want a more temperate climate, and are sick of snow. Come down and see for yourself all the sights and beauty of this wonderful state. People here are friendly and gracious. The food is wonderful, no matter what time of cuisine you like. Try it, you’ll be glad you did.

Mexico is known for a lot of things, and one of them is the beach. There are several Grupo Mayan resorts that you can choose from, offering not only a good view of the sea but also an opportunity to enjoy countless water sports activities. However, even if most of these Grupo Mayan beaches are relatively safe—they do have their own life guards—your safety still remains your primary responsibility and priority.
To make sure that you can really have an enjoyable and safe trip to Mexico, take note of the following suggestions:
1. Practice swimming. A life vest can only do so much for you. You may have to learn the basics of swimming before you try to hit the waters. If not, ensure that you have a companion who can watch out for you as you wade yourself through the Grupo Mayan sea. You should also avoid going far from the sea shore, especially if the area is known to be a surfing paradise. The big waves may just bring you a lot farther, and you can be in big trouble.
2. Swim if there’s a life guard. Even if you know how to swim, there are still accidents that can possibly happen. Some of them can occur when you’re not in the waters. The risks for further complications are lower and chances of being safe are higher if there’s a life guard around.
3. Follow the rules. Every Grupo Mayan beach resort has its own set of rules that you have to obey at all times. They are not only meant to enforce discipline, but they are also created to keep their guests safe when they are already in the beach. Thus, if the policy says that children below 4 feet should not be allowed to swim, then by all means stick with it.
4. Check on the weather forecast. There are only few who would take the time to verify the weather for the day, but they don’t know that doing so can save their lives and even energy. How many times have you actually gone out to the Grupo Mayan beach, only to realize that the waves are just too big for you to handle? You can surf the Internet when you need more information about the wind currents and gales.
5. Protect yourself. You are going to be traveling into the unchartered waters. You cannot definitely determine what is waiting for you once you are already underneath the water. Thus, protect yourself as much as possible. You can wear goggles, so you can clearly see what’s underneath. You may also have to wear comfortable slippers to avoid hurting your feet with pointed rocks or sea urchins that could be lingering in the sea bed.
6. Take note of rip currents. Rip currents are strong and can take you very far from the shore. However, there’s no use in panicking. You will only make matters worse. What you can do is to go with the flow until you will be completely out of the current. Then immediately swim toward the shore. If you feel like you need help, shout for one or wave your hand.

Kite boarding or kite surfing—however you want to call it, one thing is for sure. It will definitely add more fun and sun into your Grupo Mayan vacation. Indeed, this one is considered to be one of the hottest water sports activities that you can do. It is exhilarating and intensifying all at the same time.
What Is the Sport About
As its name implies, this one is combination of two activities: kite flying and surfing. But since you are going to do this in the Grupo Mayan waters, there will be some differences. First, surf boards are larger than usual. Kites, on the other hand, are also not typical. They are also huge and sometimes heavy, which is important to ensure balance. The main objective of kite surfing is to maintain your balance while you are on board the surf board. Your height, weight, grip, and the weather of the beach will be the determining factors when it comes to choosing your equipment.
What to Do
But how do you exactly start with your kite surfing adventure in Grupo Mayan beaches? Here are some of the best ways:
1. Look for great spots in where you can start your kite surfing. Almost all Grupo Mayan beaches are currently offering this one, so you will not really have a difficult time looking for a spot. Nevertheless, to give you ideas, you can go to Isla Blanca, Los Barilles, and La Ventana. You can also hit up a number of popular spots, such as in Acapulco, Los Cabos, and Puerto Vallarta.
2. Get those equipment ready. As mentioned, you need two highly important things: surf board and a kite. There are a lot of them that you can find in the market, and they all come in various designs and features. You can select from the most basic to the state of the art. Of course, if you are just learning how to do the sport, you are better with the basic ones. If you cannot afford to buy your own gears, you can always rent them. The arrangement will be per equipment or hour of use.
3. Search for a trainer. You can watch all the videos of Grupo Mayan beaches as often as you want, but nothing still beats the real thing. That is why you should make it a point to seek a trainer once you are in the beach. This is also recommended for those who are already experienced in kite surfing. The waters are still different from those of Hawaii and other great kite boarding spots. You need excellent tips to help you get by.
Moreover, there are some training courses or kite surfing schools that are just nearby. You can enroll in one so you will definitely be handled by professional kite surfers. These ones already have the certificate to teach the sport. Most of them don’t really last for hours. After all, they still want you to practice what you’ve learned and just enjoy the beach.
