Dream Holidays in Antigua

When thinking about dream holidays in Antigua, then the first thing that probably comes to your mind is bliss and calmness, or simply a memorable and adventurous time. Antigua is considered to be the ultimate luxury destination for holidays. Antigua is one of the most famous destinations in the Caribbean Sea and a must see place for those who go on luxury cruises in the Caribbean Islands.

What is most amazing about Antigua is that it features as many beaches as the days of a year, meaning that it has a little more than 365. It is a paradise for sea and water sport lovers, as there is nothing you cannot do here. Snorkelling, diving, sailing, scuba diving, discovering the reefs, island hoping, or simply enjoying the endless sandy beaches are just a few of the available options when visiting Antigua. Temperatures on this island hover usually around 35C in summer and around 20C in winter, so it’s the ideal location to visit, even for your Christmas holidays or Spring Break.

Even if you don’t care much about the beaches, Antigua is a rich place to visit, as far as culture is concerned. St. John, Antigua’s capital which is located at the northern part of the island is a wonderful place to be, and features elements and architectural influences that source from the intense British influence which is obvious all over the island.

Actually the English Language and cricket are both parts of Antigua’s culture, and stayed as a legacy of the British imperialism; the country and island of Antigua are very popular among westerners, especially the English speaking ones, since the scenery is somewhat colonial and quite familiar. In any case, Antigua’s long history is reflected to its architecture, culture and food.

During your Dream Holiday you may visit restaurants and dining outlets that offer a wide range of culinary choices that can suit most palates. European, American and fusion options are available, while many restaurants offer a great variety of local dishes, prepared in a traditional way of cooking. Seafood is the main theme here, as in all Caribbean Islands.

Outside resorts everything is low-key and laid back. Service in hotels and restaurants or bars is always friendly, and you can sample the rich island life and mix with the charming locals. Antigua, as all Caribbean islands provide a bit of each possible activity, making your holiday a memorable and satisfying experience. Dream Holidays in Antigua is an option to explore.

  1. Weather in Antigua – when to go? 20 Sept or 20 Oct better?
hi all, I want to go to Antigua for 11 days. The point is I found information on the internet that in September the weather can be bad. Some hurricanes etc. I was planing to go 20 Sept. but I can reschedule this and go 20 October instead. Do you guys think I can easy go in October without any risk of hurricanes etc? Please help, I’m really confused as I don’t want to risk my dream holidays. Thanks

  2. Hurricane season is from June 1 to Nov 30.

I would schedule your 11 day trip for October 20th. September is the worst month for tropical storms. Weather is unpredictable, I can’t say for sure no hurricane will spoil your vacation but your chances are better than Sept. Always purchase travel insurance that covers weather, this way you won’t lose any $$$.

We had a trip scheduled for DR a few years back and a hurricane prevented us from traveling. The airlines allowed us to reschedule with out fees and because we had travel insurance we didn’t lose any money on lodging.

Relax and have a great trip but have a backup plan.)

  3. September no doubt….most businesses wont even allow their employees to take holiday the whole month of Sep because the threat of hurricanes are so high..December is the very best time to go…
