Best beaches in Mexico?

Posted on Mar 11, 2010 under Mexico Beaches | 4 Comments

I’m planning an all-inclusive vacation to Mexico w/ my husband. Please tell me where the bluest/best beaches are. This will be my 1st time to Mexico. We travel habitually to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and love the beaches there and would love to find something comparable.
Please give your suggestions.

Tony is a fool, do not listen to him. If you are looking for an all inclusive place go to Playa del Carmen and look for Hotels in the Playacar area. Thats where the golf course is and its a gated community. The beach is amazing and safe.

The hotels there are Riu (3 of them i think), Sandos, The Reef, etc. If you want something better try the Mayan Palace.

First I have to say Mexico right now is not the country to go vacation. The Cartels and the government are in war and gun fights are appearing randomly all over the country.Especially the resort areas due that’s where this people hang out, so be careful. I am a mexican american and have family in Monterrey that tell there’s shootings everyday. But if you are going, the best beaches are the ones undiscovered by big american corp. Mazatlan, San Miguel de allende, Culiacan, these are Beautiful beaches.

Playa del Carmen, MX is the best. Fly into Cancun. It’s just south of Cancun.
The Mexican govt just paid to have all the beaches full restored (two category 5 hurricanes in 2005 had really damaged them). You will not believe how nice it is.

I attached a link to an informational site with a lot of pictures for you. It’s really a fun area.

BTW, any drug activity is confined to the Northern part of Mexico mostly on the US border. The first poster does not know what he’s talking about. The tourist areas are very safe. The Mexican govt takes your safety very seriously and that is why you will see them stop traffic on the freeway looking for any offenders. I travel to the area twice a year by myself and have done so for 13 years. It’s very safe.
