Posted on Sep 30, 2009 under South America Beaches | 4 Comments

My dad wants to go to South America for vacation because he has heard that some of the beaches there are just as nice as Hawaii but cheaper… What part of South America has nice beaches like that???
What are the beaches???

definately colombia
so many things to see not only beaches
take a plane to bogota visit parque de la 93 and zona rosa and zona t if you want bars or if not theres so many malls to see as theres very nice and cheap things… also visit colonial parts of bogota like usaquen or la candelaria
then take a visit to cali and medellin awesome cities
now for beaches you have san andres and providencia islands
also islas del rosario near cartagena
you also have as mentioned before covenas and santa marta which is beautiful
and cartagena which also has awesome historical things to see
ENJOY COLOMBIA

I may be a little subjective here. I’m Colombian. Colombia has every natural landscape you could possibly imagine. From white sand beaches to plains. Right now the US dollar is not that strong which means that it wouldn’t be as cheap as before, but definitely cheaper than Hawaii in terms of accommodation and such. I would recommend Cartagena or San Andres Island, which are both very touristic places. In fact depending where you live in the US, there are low cost flights from Florida (I think) to Cartagena or Bogota for about US$150.
