The Mad Beach Band was the top drawing, most popular party band on the west coast of Florida during the 1970′s early 80′s. The name was coined by Harry Daily of the Coral Reefer Band. The name is now used interchangeably for Maderia Beach, FL. Several bands had the oportunity to play with the Mad Beach Band, they are: The Allman Brothers, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Pure Prairie League, .38 Special, and individuals from The Amazing Rythem Aces and Lynard Skynard to name a few.
