It depends what you are looking for. If you want culture, history and a travel of a lifetime, China is the place to be. You can forget all other countries in Asia, but China is a must see. I’d concentrate on Beijing, Xi’an and Tibet Autonomous Region if I were you. China does have beach resorts in the South, but it’s not as beautiful as Malaysia or the Philippines.

If you love great beaches, go to the Philippines. In my opnion the beaches there are awesome, I’d check Boracay and Bohol. Boracay has a great party scene and it is very international. Macau is an Asian version of Las Vegas, it’s too superficial for me. It’s all up to you what you want to see.

I would suggest Malaysia, where you can experience the mixture culture of Chinese, Malay and Indian. Malaysia truely Asia.
